Casey--
This has always been one of your best. I study it like the pastel will rub off on me. I never get tired of it.

Sam, that's why I glazed it.

Thanks for the kindness. I am discovering that I like the new blogger mode that allows a bigger image, and I am gradually going through some of my favorites to see how they present. I'm considering uploading at 110 or more instead of 72 dpi, since times march on.

I love this piece. It is sheer perfection...and nice little appearance that made me smile in me email.

Best,
Vicky

The more I look the more I see in this one, like it's giving up it's secrets the longer you take to get to know it. - a gem.

ah that Matisse..! (didn't he respect Picasso?)
Love this pastel....the close values in the foreground...the golden light. What a beauty.

Hey, celeste. Did he respect Picasso? Good question - take it up with Ms. Boudot-Lamotte, who wrote that sentence in his memoir.

Thanks on the artwork. How did that light sneak in there? I try my best to avoid (depicting) light.
